Talkabout Primary MFL

A network for anyone teaching languages in Primary

So - yes, it's probably not even called that . . . but I'm at home and the folder with information is at school.

The HT decided that - while most children are away on residential for the week - the remainder of Y5/Y6 could work with me and send something to our partner school. The small primary school in France has already sent photographs of children : we had to decide which child was which by reading info on an 'identity card' which described features such as hair, glasses, clothes, etc.

OK - we can do that (even though these pictures arrived two years ago)

Does anyone have any other ideas - based on experience, or not, that could help me in the coming week?

Best wishes to all! Francis

Thanks, Lorraine! That's given me a good starting point. It fits in very well with the video idea I was thinking of. I could make the Guess Who game as an email exchange with the children in both schools. Great idea! :)

The Guess who ? game is useful to actually continue with the theme in class, especially if the children produce their own pictures. There are travel versions available which are smaller. Could you then adapt the idea into an interactive game for the partner school?
