A network for all who teach languages to children
You may have seen the recent Mr Men doodle that google used earlier this week, or perhaps you remember them from your own childhood, but this year is the 40th anniversary of the lovable Mr Men and Little Miss characters created by Richard Hargreaves and the good news for language teachers is that most have been translated into all sorts of languages.
The above French clip from YouTube is fun to encourage children to see how many they can recognise - to help you with the answers try scrolling through this comprehensive wikipedia list of Mr Men or this comprehensive fan site http://www.mrmen-books.com/
In German the series is called 'Unsere kleinen Damen und Herren' and for those teaching Spanish you might want to look through Rachel Hawkes' wonderful powerpoint on TES Resources to teach phonics and revise colours.
