Wishing everyone all the very best for a wonderful new year. Let's hope 2012 sees an end to political dithering and some final clear and funded announcements about Primary Languages!
My newest project which I am really looking forward to sharing with you - is, in addition to the resources for the qca units which I've been slowly transferring onto the http://year3french.wikispaces.com (and same for years 4, 5 and 6 just change the number in the address to get the website) -is to start to do the same for a scheme of work that has been developed, trialled and is used by non-linguists in a local junior school. It's much slower and gentler than the QCA units, borrows some stories from Catherine Cheater, leans heavily on what actually worked in the individual teachers classrooms and has built in light-touch assessment opportunities. So far only the autumn and spring terms of year 3 are completed online and I'm slowly ploughing through the remainder to upload it lesson by lesson. If anyone wants the whole thing without the resources I'll be uploading the word docs in the next few days.
