A network for all who teach languages to children
There are a few places left on this years Hampshire Languages Conference which will take place in Southampton.
We have some amazing speakers to inspire both Primary & Secondary school teachers of languages - including Catherine Cheater!

Catherine Cheater will be running 2 sessions - (one in the morning and one in the afternoon in case you can only attend for half a day) and the inspirational Jackie Rayment (Hertfordshire LA) will also be running a session based around using the Olympics as a theme for language teaching.
Greg Horton (German Teacher of the Year) will be running his fantastic active learning workshop, Jo Biddle (AST) will be sharing tips on usingmind maps in the classroom, while local teachersRebecca Rickard & Tracey Bevan are running a joint session in Spanish.
AST Louise Wornell will be showing us how to 'Keep it Real!' by using authentic free resources, Sarah Marston shares ideas to promote global citizenship, and David Jones demonstrates how they incorporate PLTS & Languages for Work in his school. Primary AST Fiona Scovell will be running a session about 'Having Fun in KS1 and KS 2', Debbie Clarke & Judy Sizeland are jointly sharing ideas for guided learning, whileAST Ben Shaw runs a session just for KS4 GCSE. Finally Jackie Berry (PL Hampshire) is holding a hands-on workshop in the computer suite for teachersto try out digital storytelling and local teacher Denise Hurden will explain how Milford-on-Sea school has been experimenting with Dinocroc to support immersion teaching in Spanish with reception/Year 1.
All-in-all not bad for only £99 and there may well be the possibility to book for half-day attendance if preferred. This looks great, I'd love to come again this year but I have a very limited budget nowadays.
Still, at least we are still out there batting for languages! See you in October?
