Talkabout Primary Languages

A network for anyone teaching languages to children

OK so actually this has nothing to do with fireworks - but this is the Phonics PowerPoint I was working on after the Languages Show and which I mentioned in the Show'n'tell flashmeeting as an aside that I would share. It's aimed at Key Stage 3 and the idea is that there are 99 activities all lasting approx 5 mins to start off a lesson with and do some quick revision of phoneme/grapheme correspondance. The activities are 'borrowed' fromall over the place with some of my own bunged in too in the true spirit of make-once-and-share. It would probably need some adapting for KS2 - almost certainly putting into a more co-herent order, and I wll work on this and bring out another version soon - but just not today coz it's bonfire night - yeah bring on those tatties and sausages, grab my gloves and hat and pass me the sparklers!

Jo I will add this to my phonics wiki if that's ok and will tell my delegates all about you and your great work at my event next month. Thanks again for helping to promote! X

This is a great resource Jo. Thanks so much for sharing it. Are you going to the Coventry Teachmeet on Sat 14th November? It would be nice to see if we couldn't get a group of Primary teachers there to share good practice.

You're a star Jo!
Some super ideas which can be adapted for Primary. Must have taken ages.
