A network for all who teach languages to children
I've re-discovered Storybird this weekend after a tweet announcing some new features. Whilst they included the ability to write in non Latin scripts like Greek and Mandarin, it did not include the ability to publish Storybirds in languages other than English to the public gallery on Storybird :o( This is due to the need to moderate content, and is something that I am informed will be addressed at the end of next year (2013)
However, all is not lost as you can embed the Storybirds on a website, blog or wiki, or link to them as happens on MFL Storybird wiki, a treasure trove of Spanish, French, German and Italian stories at a variety of levels.
So here is my latest offering, written especially for a Reception class at my 'old' school. It involves counting from 0-9 (there wasn't an image for 10 and you can't put two pictures on one page!) and then on the last page, the reader is asked to find which number has a cauldron, a spider, bandages etc, all in Spanish.
Hope you enjoy!

And, as I'm learning German, here's a German one too! This time counting backwards from 9 to 0!
