Contains full backing track of the Marseillaise and also a clip of just the first 2 lines
I did this yesterday with a yr 3 class and a yr 4. Although the quiz is in English it provides you with a break, the kids really focus on reading the scrolling text, and it injects much historical and cultural background into your programme.
I changed the original powerpoint to include this scrolling text. You can use one of the slides as a template to create further quizzes of your own. If you are not sure how to do it, have a look at my blog site for a video explanation.

It's simple trick when you know how but radically changes the level of concentration children will apply to reading information from the screen.
