I am starting to think about this years EDL and I am hoping to mark it properly in school this year as this is the first year all of KS2 will be doing language learning as part of the timetable and see it as a bit of a launch. So far I'm thinking ...
I'm wondering if anyone can help. I'm sure somewhere I have read/heard/seen that the entitlement for all KS2 children for languages should be 1 hour a week but I cannot find it anywhere. Have looked through the framework and all I can see is that ...
I was wondering if anyone has any advice/good ideas for how to organise languages. I currently work in a 2 form entry primary where I have been teaching Spanish to year 5 and 6 this year and year 3 have been doing French with their teacher. Howeve...
I am currently an NQT teaching a year 5 class. I have been teaching Spanish to both the classes in year 5 and have just been made the languages co-ordinator so now have the job of sorting the rest of the school out too and trying to get languages off the ground at our school.

Hi Emma - welcome to the networking site. I hope you find it useful and do please feel free to post things here yourself whenever you want.
You probably know this already, but just in case - to contact someone just find them in members and click on them. This takes you to their page and tells you a little about that person. Then just leave a message for them in a comment box like this one. Or, if you'd like your message to be private, click on 'send a message' beneath their picture.
Ocasionally you will get messages asking if you would like to be someone's 'friend'. The only advantage to this is if you want to find someone quickly on a large network, otherwise there is really no need and you can happily ignore the request or click 'decline' with no offence to anyone.
Feel free to post comments on the forum discussions and/or blog pages whenever you wish. You should be able to download materials from these posts too, and of course add your own in the same way as you would an email attachment - just follow the instructions on screen.
I hope you find the network useful.
Best wishes, Jo

Welcome aboard! You will see this is a very friendly network.
I will be teaching Year 5 Spanish next year. So maybe we can also exchange lots of resources!
Best wishes from
Isabelle
