Profile Information

I will/do teach the following languages:
French, German, Spanish
About Me:
I'm currently teaching at Yealmpton primary school in Devon where I teach MFL and cover PPA across the school (6 classes 160 children). I'm a Lead Languge Teacher for Devon and really enjoy supporting other teachers in MFL.
Favourite/recommended MFL Website:
http://atantot.co.uk
Favorite MFL resource:
Probably my puppets from www.puppetsbypost.co.uk and the sock puppets made by the children to speak in MFL lessons-every child has one! I love teaching through story so I'm also very attached to my story books in a range of languages.

Handas Surprise

I've written a scheme of work around this book which I taught in Y2 and linked it to literacy and numeracy. Have a look-try it out!

Hi Alison,
I/m new to this site but have started trawling through all the many members & came across your fabulous contributions. Many, many thanks.

I've only just started 1 afternoon a week in one school & felt a little out on a limb. Have cobbled together some lessons but yours are so wonderful!

Shall enjoy trying out your ideas!
Thanks again Lorraine

Switzerland... WOW... what an amazing opportunity (and so much lovely chocolate to be found too!). I wish you all the very best in this exciting new challenge and look forward to hearing about your experiences in the future.

Dear Alison,
Just joined as a new member this week and Jo put me in your direction, telling me about your SOW for Handa. I'll be starting a unit of work based around this text next week with Y4 - Jo has suggested I might start a blog myself with some story-telling ideas so I'll try to include descriptions of Handa related activities that you might find useful in return too.
In the meantime please feel free to add me as a friend and why not check out the photos I've uploaded to the site too - they might just come in handy!
Bye for now.
