G&T ideas?

I was asked last week by a parent governor if it's possible to identify any G&T pupils in French and if so, what will I be doing to support them to extend their learning????My immediate answer was that it's quite hard because so much of their learning is teacher led and they don't yet have the learner independence they'd need to progress in that way.  But on reflection I don't think that's a great answer - bit of a cop out.So - any thoughts on this one?  Anyone identify G&T in MFL at…See More

Books or folders or nothing?

Just wondering what everyone uses with their classes?I've used exercise books with y5 & 6 and folders for y3 & 4 and KS1 don't really have anything on paper.I'm now (in time for the start of term....I know - bit late in the day...) thinking about having a French file that they start in y3 and keep for all of KS2.So how do you do it?See More

Display ideas

I have a display board in the corridor for French and was just wandering if anyone had any bright ideas of what I could put on it!!Last year I had a map of France with some photos linked to it, a French biscuit packet, a thing about 'borrowed words', a bit about Barbar and a changing section for each season.I don't really want to spend too much time changing it during the year but would quite like to start the year with something new.See More

Eurovision!!

OK, so a bit late in the day for anyone else, but I'm doing a little Eurovision thing tomorrow with year 6!!I think really I just want to hear a load of 11 year olds say "Royaume-Uni - deux points".Anyway, I've done an extemely simple worksheet. We'll look at giving opinions, learn a few countries, watch the videos of those countries on the official Eurovision website (www.eurovision.tv) and then give out some points.Robert est ton oncle...See More

A request and some sharing!

The request first;- I've got a lovely version of 'La ronde du muguet' (I bought this great CD - really lovely - has a mix of rhymes, songs and poems and a story for each season. And a little book with all the words!) but I'm not sure how to do it. I guess we sing it holding hands in a circle and then the try not to talk or laugh and anyone who does is out??? Does…See More
