Tamsin, if you check out this site, have a look at the new group -Prima Kinder I started. Thought we could look at / review resources. I know you only teach French at Primary level but you might have some ideas. For instance do they do a Catherine Cheater German scheme?
I hope you find it useful and I am looking forward to sharing ideas and resources with you. You may be intested in the links to the resources I have on my blog for French, Spanish and German... and many other languages! I have taught French, Spanish and German at secondary level and French and Spanish in Primary -OK, and I am a native French speaker as well! To find the links, go to My Languages then scroll down to a long list of keywords to the right (delicious tags), just click on the relevant keyword to get an updated list of links to resources e.g. French, Spanish, German... You can filter for just Primary resources by clicking +primary once in del.icio.us to get a list of French/Spanish/German Primary resources only.
I hope it is of use... Give us a shout if you need anything specific!!
Aha - so that's how you do it - even so, what a busy life you lead! I must check out those resources you mentioned for Mandarin.
Take car and happy weekend!

Hi Tamsin
Welcome to the site - hope you find it useful and friendly. Phew! Just read your profile and you are incredibly busy - and learning mandarin too! What resources do you use - I'm a big fan of Mark Pentletons Radiolingua podcasts (always a fan of freebies) but not sure if he does mandarin yet..
Anyway - welcome to the site and looking forward to sharing ideas with you
