I am a French teacher in an International school in Bangalore, India. I handle the Primary years and the Middle school grades. Also, in the near future I would opt for teaching the Diploma program. I have also completed my intermediate spanish course and am pursuing the diploma...hope I can teach both languages sometime later.
I teach languages to these Year groups:
Primary and Middle school

How many minutes a week do your students learn French? I find that makes a big difference in the types of activities and methods I can use.
I use a great variety of methods like gestures, storytelling, games, activities, songs and conversation. As the children get older I layer in more reading and writing. In 6th grade (age 11) I start layering in some grammar understanding. I use a textbook for some things at the Middle School level but adapt it to my own schedule and do not follow it chapter by chapter. I am currently very interested in the AIM method of learning and plan to attend a training (aimlearning.com?) It is a methodology coming out of Canada, by Wendy Maxwell.
Do you have a favorite game or activity that your students love?
