French Books and CDs for Reception and Year One

Can anyone help? I am looking for two books and CDs - different ones that could be used in reception and Year One, as we are planning just speaking/singing and listening only, in these year groups. I have seen un, deux, trois but it has mixed reviews - what are your views? If I buy that one I still need another one. HELP!!!

A few of the things I have being doing in class

Hi, thankyou for the comments. I use Early Start German in my after school club. The children seem to respond well to it, I also use my own resources and some others that I have gathered. On a recent trip to Germany I bought some early language books for the children to look at and become used to seeing German in print. I also use bilingual books - even though they are much too difficult - the children like to compare the language and enjoy seeing books they love in other languages. I like… Continue

Sorry Sieben, feeling de-motivated as I have no MFL work this year-just back on general supply. Unortunatley the school where I was teaching French last year I did such a good job training up the teachers-they were watching me as I taught, they feel they can run with it' in house' this year and save my wages.

Wow, great to see a German enthusiast here! That's my main - originally but on the Isle of Wight there's little opportunity to practice and as I'm only on supply at the moment rarely get any opportunity to even teach any languages. Keep plugging the German Sieben, so many schools are trying to phase it out.

Wow it sounds great Sieben.
I was wondering - maybe you could write your comment again in a blog post so everyone can read about it? If you copy what you put in the comment, go to blogs and click add a new blog then you can paste it in the box - only if you have time of course - but i just think what you are doing sounds such fun and everyone on the site can read about it then?
anyway - keep having fun!
