Hey - love the new colour scheme!!
Just added a comment to your group re. a wiki page if it is any use to you, but realised I could have just left you a message here rather than crashing your group - I will unjoin as soon as you let me know if you'd all like a password to edit it or just some/one of you.
Shame that Sunderland hasn't quite caught up with the 2010 requirement for Primary schools to be teaching languages across key stage 2, or the level of languages needed to do that - I doubt they require A level English + Maths + Science + Geography + Music + History + RE + PE + Dramato train for Primary so why the requirement for ONE additional subject?? Anyway enough grumbling - sorry!
I am sure you will love our friendly group. You may be intested in the links to the resources I have on my blog for French and Spanish. To find the links, go to My Languages then scroll down to a long list of keywords to the right (delicious tags), just click on the relevant keyword to get an updated list of links to resources e.g. French, Spanish... You can filter for just Primary resources by clicking +primary once in del.icio.us to get a list of French or Spanish Primary resources only.
Hi and welcome Louise, a newbie like myself.
There seems to be loads of useful stuff here. There' s a link I found to the LEA site in Sunderland with songs and ppt slides of the lyrics.
Fantastic! When do you qualify?

Hi Louise
Welcome to the site which I hope you find both useful and friendly! Very impressed to see that you have started a group already too - an excellent idea to have one for student teachers, hadn't thought of that.
Are you doing a Primary/Secondary PGCE/BEd? Are they allowing a Primary MFL specialism? There are only a few courses addressing the need for ALL primary trainees to be trained in Languages so far, though a fair few Specialist Priamry courses around, but each seems to be so different. A group for people to swap experiences/shared ideas etc is a great idea!
