Lisibo talks!

It's been a long time since I posted anything on Talkabout - and that makes me sad as I started blogging here and don't want to neglect a community that I have always valued so much and always wholeheartedly recommend when i'm sharing.

So i thought I'd cross post a couple of things from my blog - ¡Vámonos! that you might have missed!… Continue

Thanks Lisa.
I didn't realise any slides were skipped - was too busy writing down ideas! (took 4 pages of notes...) I went to two other talks too, both good, but yours was most useful as it was specific to primary MFL.
Look forward to the audio/blog.
Best wishes,
Lee

Hi Lisa,
Just wanted to say a big 'thank you' for the talk you gave yesterday at the Languages Show. After meeting you in cyberspace on various forums, it was great to see the 'real person'! And I came away with lots of great ideas and fresh enthusiasm.
Thanks,
Lee

Great, looking forward to seeing you at Language World. I'm doing a talk, so please drag some people along! I did one at a conference in the US one time and three people came. Including two people who both thought they were the moderator of that session!

What scheme of work would you recommend for years 5 and 6 French (They only begin the learn in Year 5 at the moment)? Like you I prefer to improvise but I do have to show that I follow a scheme of work. I am not a trained teacher. However I tutor GCSE French students and my own children who have gone through this stage, so I base a lot of what I teach at Primary level and what I see as the gaps later on, trying to keep it fun. I am forever repeating and building on what they have already learned. My main constraint is 'time' as the lessons are short. I have lots of ideas which would never fit into the contraints of the lessons. I am not always in the same class as a TA and we have mixed year-groups, so it is rather complicated at times.
Thanks.

Hi lisa
No, I don't think we've met. I put myself down as Birmingham but I actually teach in the Sandwell borough. Thanks though.

Nope, I'm not Richard Hammond. By the way, who is he? I read your profile. I am secondary trained, but once I moved to primary I never looked back. So much better!

Hi Lisa - I'm coming to the PL show in Liverpool too now! Someone dropped out and I'm in!

Have just spotted my Father Christmas counter in the sidebar is showing some very strange numbers - think it might have been fiddled with - oh well, will stick to google analytics!

Looking forward to Christmas!
