Profile Information

I will/do teach the following languages:
French, Spanish
About Me:
I have worked in both the secondary and primary sectors and have taught children with Dyslexia and worked with bilingual learners. For several years I worked for a language college as their primary languages coordinator before I became a Primary Languages Consultant for Hampshire. I eventually became Inspector/Adviser for Languages in Hampshire (after Bob Thomas and before Jo Rhys-Jones) before I moved to Australia.
I teach languages to these Year groups:
Have taught French and Spanish from nursery to adult ed. Currently teaching Spanish to "Prep" (5-6 year olds).

I last posted at the end of March to say that my book was being published in April. Well, there was a delay but it is finally out. It was available for the first time on 6th Nov. I have waited such a long time for this to be published and am so relieved that it is finally here. I just hope someone buys it now :)

V excited as I have a book coming out in April, with Lynn Erler. Lynn is the researcher at Oxford Uni who started the whole 'Phonics Revolution' in primary languages, with the research she did, especially into beginning learners' reading skills in French.

G'day!

A few people have been asking me if I'm still "down under" so I thought I'd post what's happening. We have been in Brisbane, Queensland, for 3 years (and 5 days) but are now moving back to the UK...on Wednesday.

I'm looking forward to catching up with many of you at the Languages SE conference or the PLS. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the snow, though. It's 33 degrees here!

Making Grammar Fun
