Extending languages from KS2 to KS1- help!

Hi All Wondering if anyone can help me please. Has anyone any experience of introducing a language across Key Stage 2 for a year then, in the second year, begin to introduce the same language in KS1?Wondering how people approach the topics/ skills taught and learnt.Would appreciate any help/ suggestions.Many thanksHelenSee More

I will/do teach the following languages:: Spanish

About Me:: After teaching for 19 years , 5 of which were in Madrid, I gave up my part time job of class teacher to follow a new path- that of Spanish Teacher in two schools. I'm loving the challenge and the fact that I can devote all my time preparing and developing lessons and activities for ONE subject- that I love- rather than trying to do the normal 11!

I teach languages to these Year groups:: 3-6

Tate gallery - Picasso

Happy New Year to you all.

Have just been looking for resources for Picasso to use with my schools and I have just come across the TATE gallery website- lots of ideas for Picasso and other artists. If anyone has any ideas for Picasso/ Spanish I would love to hear from you.

Translation Nation- a project!

Have just been sent this link from a colleague who received it via Michael Rosen. It starts from a Literacy focus,but it is 'a celebration of the languages spoken by Primary Children'.
