If you haven't logged on to the discussion after your comment here is my reply to your query about how to fill in the 2 medals & a step-up worksheets: whether meaningfully in mother tongue or had I considred the use of target language.
Yes to both! You'll notice in the latter years, there are two criteria in each category - one to be completed in English aimed at giving feedback outside the student's level of language and the other in the target language. Younger pupils, it would depend on their capabilities.
I would have had some specific criteria in mind which the pupils would be looking for- Target language for more able/ English for those who need it, which would have been focused upon during the work e.g. 'using a variety of adjectives to describe . . . /tu utilise une variété d'adjectifs/du benutzt eine Reihe von Adjektiven/ use una variedad de adjetivos etc. or tu doit . . /du sollst . . /tu debes??(still learning Spanish should this be a subjunctive? or another example might be -you have used perfect tense well etc. and some criterion comments worked out prior to completing the worksheets.
