I visited the Spanish Embassy site recently as someone suggested I look at what they had to offer in terms of song resources. I got this link from Isabelle as it was a real struggle to find it myself. I was very disappointed when I got there as th...
Hi All
I have been asked to possibly teach Spanish instead of French to some KS1and KS2 classes next year. This will be a new venture for me if I go ahead with it as the only Spanish I have is from a 30 hour CPD (I am experienced in French and It...
It's report time again and I thought I'd seek your opinions re achievement grades for primary mfl on end of year reports.
How many of you give an achievement grade and is this based on formal assessment, your 'feel' for what the child can do, or ...

Thanks for accepting me as your friend, we do seem to be answering quite a few of the same questions.
Might even try adding Italian to my repertoire when I;ve fully mastered Spanish.

Hi Barbar, I am based at Thornhill primary school in Islington, London for now although I am employed through an agency. I cover PPA to all classes Nursery -Year 6 and I teach mainly French with some cross curricular music, PE, PSHE, Art etc. I have taught Italian to adults in the past and I would like to teach Italian again. Good Luck with the italianissimo project...will be keeping an eye on it although I probably won't be a productive member in the near future because, as I said, for now it is mainly about French for me. Thanks for getting in contact
Ciao Barbara,
I'm glad too there is somebody else who's trying to find a space for Italian in schools. Thank you for the files you have already posted, they are great. I will post some of them soon (one is an adaptation of 'minibeasts' by Linda Owen and a song about greetings). I also have a number of links to pass on, some of them from Italian primary schools. So, watch this space,I only need to learn how to post them (and find time to do it).
Bonjour Barbara
I am sure you will love our lovely little group. I am curious, what is the "other" language you do? I do French and Spanish at the moment. If you are interested in fnding more online resources , you may wish to check the links I have put together on my blog, http://isabellejones.blogspot.com You need to scroll down to go to the long list of keywords on the right and click on Primary to get a list of all the primary mfl sites I have bookmarked. You can then filter by languages if you wish. I hope you find it useful...

I'm afraid I haven't made any French Storybirds yet. The colours one was made by Dominic McGladdery, but I don't have the link.

Hi Barbara
Can you recommend any commercial resources or story books for Italian?
Thanks
