Talkabout Primary MFL

A network for anyone teaching languages in Primary

Does anyone have the poem 'Les Planètes' by Corinne Albautthat they wouldn't mind letting me have?

We're having a 'space week' at school and i'm hoping this will be suitable for the younger ones.

Found it!! And some other good planets/solar system resources from Gloucestershire County Council.

Hope someone else finds it useful too. Then at least I can justify having this little chat with myself..

Oh good, glad someone's out there!

I'm also going to use a 'Bebe Lily' video - Dans L'espace - which is on Youtube. It's faintly ridiculous and it'll be stuck in your head all day!! But it has some good vocab in it. The lyrics are online if you search too. I even did a little vocab matching/dictionary work sheet to go with it.

And we're going to touch on Le Petit Prince (fairly good website - www.lepetitprince.com - has a summary of the story in French and English; and some ineteresting worksheets aimed at French primary teachers/children) and Jean-Michel Jarre to cover our intercultural understanding!

Do add those to your collection too if they help.

Thanks for sharing this link, Victoria. The powerpoint activities from the Gloucester site are really good and fit in well with the planets work in the Catherine Cheater scheme. I can't wait to use it!
