Responding to some posts on Prima Kinder, started me thinking. What methodogies or knowledge of pedagogy do we hold?

Whilst I think it important to place our teaching within manageable units, often easiest based on particlar topics, I do believe it is very important not just to teach vocab at the expense of structure though.
When I trained a little mnemonic was 'Either new vocab or new structure, never both!' So use old vocab with new structure or vice versa, ie constantly revisiting and enlarging knowledge but within new contexts.

Any other nuggets to share?
