Talkabout Primary Languages

A network for all who teach languages to children

Hello I was hoping to use this story with a Year 4 class but can't get hold of a copy of the French version anywhere at the moment. It seems that every where I've tried is out of stock at the moment. Does anyone know of anywhere where I might be able to find an online version of it (like the northumberland online stories type of thing?).

On a completely different topic, I've got a lovely powerpoint about aliens (French) which worked really well with a Year 6 class to teach parts of the body. I'm new to this site and don't know if there's anywhere on here where I can share my resources?? I'd love to share and swap to save people time!! If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful!!

Merci!

Kay

Have you tried Grant and Cutler?; I was in there last week and I'm sure I saw one. They are located at the back of M&S in Oxford St. (the smaller M&S, not Marble Arch) If you can't get there, I'm sure they have a website/mail order. Have you tried Little Linguist? Or Miles Palmer? (Google to find)

You are unlikely to find an online version as this would be infringing copyright.

Bonne chance

We'd love you to share your resource. Just post & upload your resource when prompted. Looking forward to seeing it.
Hi Jan, thanks for your reply and suggestions. I had tried Little Linguist and European Books who were both out of stock. However I've just found it on Amazon and ordered it on there. I hadn't thought of Grant and Cutler so thanks for that suggestion. I'll check there in future. I would still be interested in hearing from anyone who has already used this story with a KS2 class.
Thanks,

Kay

Hi Kay

Assumed you would have tried European Bookshop first. Have you ordered the bigger hardback version? - much better for class use if you can get it.
Are you aware of the West Sussex resources for Bear Hunt? Very useful indeed; thanks to them.

Best wishes

Thank you so much for the link to the West Sussex Group. This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I will certainly be able to use bits of it and add a few ideas of my own.

Many thanks,

Kay

Finally , the story in ppt form and Promethean AV format. Neither uses the original illustrations so I hope I'm right in saying there shouldn't be any copyright issues?
