I'm doing a demonstration lesson for a Year 4 class next week and was wondering if anyone had this book on a powerpoint or smartboard that they wouldn't mind sharing? I'm not sure that the book will arive in time if I order it now.
Also if anyone has any 'different' ideas for teaching the clothes topic, I would really appeciate those too!
If I were brave enough in a demonstration lesson I think I would actually have some adult version of the clothes learnt in lesson and have a race to 'get dressed' in the clothes when the teacher shows the word/ or says the word or image and word depending on ability of chn. Could be used as assessment at end of lesson- a team game or maybe I'm being a bit too aventurous or is that mad?
Another calmer idea would be to use rub and reveal which children think is magic-- well some!
You insert your picture/ word on page and using the pen, colour over the whole picture with apen the same colour as your background so the image 'disappears'. It looks like the page is blank. Then using the rubber you rub a little out at a time revealing the image/word. Magic! I have attached an example!
Have fun!
